Hosanna Bible Training Center

...merging spiritual growth and academic excellence.

OUR VISION

HBTC is called to fulfill the great commission by preparing men and women to proclaim His truth to the uttermost parts of the earth. It is our vision to develop ministers, lay leaders and Christian workers who will manifest the character of Christ in their person and the power of the Holy Spirit in their ministry.

OUR OBJECTIVE

HBTC is committed to the pursuit of the spiritual and intellectual development of each student unto maturity.
Our proclamation is fourfold:

to train in the ways of God,
to strengthen in the Word of God,
to provide understanding in the will of God, and
to extend the Kingdom through the work of God.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

HBTC seeks the merging of spiritual growth, academic excellence, and practical ministry experience. We endeavor to promote the realization of Christian values in student character.

The teaching of the Bible is regarded as the essential aspect of all learning and is viewed as the unifying factor and necessary foundation of our educative process.

A WORD FROM OUR DEAN

The Bible is our major at Hosanna Bible Training Center and the student's relationship with God is our top priority.

The staff of HBTC recognizes the need for students to receive counsel and pastoral care. As Dean, it is my desire to not only give academic direction, but to provide both a listening ear and a strengthening word to those needing encouragement in the Lord. I invite you to take a step of faith and write or phone for more information regarding the many opportunities for ministerial development here at HBTC; a school dedicated to raising up workers for the Lord's harvest.

Rev. Kathie Kuhn is the HBTC administrator and Dean of Students. She is an ordained minister, a graduate of HBTC, and an anointed Bible teacher with over 25 years of ministry experience. Kathie also serves on the ministerial staff of Faith Fellowship Church as Director of Pastoral Care & Counseling, Women's Ministries and Overseas Travel.

HBTC AT A GLANCE

HBTC was founded in 1983 as an outreach of Faith Fellowship Church. The school has steadily grown and presently offers two options of study. One, a full-time 90 credit-hour, two-year diploma program. And two, a one-year, 45 credit-hour certification program. Within either program, students choose from several tracts of biblical concentration and work at their own pace to completion.

Theologically, Hosanna is moderately conservative and stands firmly in the mainstream of the Evangelical-Charismatic community.  The school has a theological library of over 6,000 volumes. The broad-based appeal of HBTC has drawn students from numerous churches and various denominations both in the U.S. and abroad.

HBTC has an excellent faculty and qualified staff members, seasoned in God's Word. All are of high integrity and strong spiritual insight, sharing the common goal of glorifying Christ. Classes are held in the historical Manor House in Macedonia, Ohio, where HBTC students enjoy a stately library, study areas, and picturesque campus complete with lakes, walks and wildlife.

Rev. Dr. Neal W. May is Senior Pastor and Founder of Faith Fellowship and holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Ashland Theological Seminary, graduating with honors.  He is also a 1977 graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center and was ordained by Kenneth Hagin Ministries. He attended Kent State University during the turbulent 60's and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in education. Dr. May has experienced the balance of both Spirit and Word, illumination and reason. He is President and Founder of Hosanna Bible Training Center and instructor of Biblical Interpretation and Preaching.  In addition, he has served as an adjunct professor for Ashland Seminary teaching Small Group Ministry and Archaeology of the New Testament.
