Thanks to all who came out for the Family Movie Night! Chick-fil-A of Macedonia provided free, hot sandwiches and the movie, “Second Glance,” provided a heartwarming message. If you missed this event, we will have more Family Nights in the future! If you are looking for movies with a wholesome theme, check out the website christianmovies.com, you can purchase these directly from this site.

Faith Fellowship Church, along with MedWish International and Chick-fil-A of Macedonia, have teamed up together to collected unused crutches, walkers and canes that will be sent to Haiti. The church will have receptacles at the Upper Carriage House entrance, as well as the Sanctuary entrance for collections. The church will collect these items until Easter. If you have already given a donation of the listed medical supplies, please let the church office know. The office staff will provide you with a free sandwich coupon from Chick-fil-A.

Children, families and yes adults & youth, come join us as we “Hop for Haiti!” This will be on Saturday, Feb. 27th in the Nursery Wing, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. We will have instructors who will facilitate low impact aerobics. The participants will ask family and friends to “sponsor” them. Sponsor sheets can be picked up in the Lower Level, before or after Sunday services. Sponsors will commit to donate a certain amount of money for every minute that the participant exercises. The maximum time will be 60 minutes. There will be two, 30 minute aerobic sessions that will also include a 30 minute break in between. Water and fruit will be available during the down time. Please make sure that names are clearly marked on any water bottles or additional beverages brought from home.  Students that are in third grade or below, must have a parent or teenage sibling with them, for the duration of the event. Please sign up at the Events Table.

Children are invited to attend the play entitled, “My Name is Ruth.” This is held in the church Sanctuary, on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m. It is a romantic comedy and fun for the entire family! This Valentine’s Day, please remember to remind your children and yourself that Jesus loves you just the way you are! There is nothing that you can do that will make Him love you more and, there is nothing that you can do to make Him love you less!
Happy New Year! We are looking forward to making more outreach opportunities available to the children and their families this year! Our first “Helping Hands” activity of the year, was on Saturday, January 9th. We made bookmarkers and delivered them to the Northfield Retirement Village residents. The students enjoyed the fellowship with each other as well as the seniors!

Looking for some free family fun activities? Mark your calendar for Movie Night, on Saturday, January 23rd from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the Lower Level. The movie is “Second Glance.”  It is one of the most encouraging films that a Christian could watch. This motion picture is a Christian version of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” High school senior Dan, does not think he’s impacting anyone for the Lord. He thinks he is missing out on all the fun. So one day, he wishes he’d never become a Christian. He gets his wish… and then sees things from a very different perspective. A must see for your entire family and every youth. The movie will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Join us at 6:30 for games and snacks! Please sign up at the Events Table.”

There is a free standing cross in the lower level. The students in 1st – 6th grade have made “Links for Life”, or we should say, eternal life. This paper chain has the names of family members, friends, classmates, neighbors and yes, even enemies that the children wanted to pray for. Each week we will pray that God will reveal Himself in a mighty way to the individuals listed. The ultimate goal, is to see that each person who is represented on a link, surrender their life to the Lord. We invite you as parents and grandparents, to add to the list of names. In our years of ministry, we know that God loves to answer the prayers of His kids!

As you may know, we collect “Change (as in coins and currency) for Change” (as in transformation) every third Sunday, which is Family Sunday. We are looking for different causes or organizations to raise money for. If you have any ideas please let us know. May God’s peace be upon you!

Please contact Joyce Hunt, if you would like to get involved with this new and exciting Outreach Ministry.

Nursery:

Toddlers:  Age Two & Three:    We understand the high activity level of your toddler and have an energetic, creative staff to minister to your son or daughter.  Our curriculum offers colorful Bible stories, fun games, easy to remember Bible memory verses and crafts.  Values such as sharing and being kind to others become a hands-on experience during free play and snack time.

Preschool:  Ages 4 & 5:  Children are taught with a fun and interactive curriculum.  Bible stories are often enhanced by weekly take home pages filled with activities the whole family can enjoy together.  We believe this helps illuminate biblical principles.  Memory verses, prayer time, crafts and games are all part of the preschool ministry.  Fellowship is shared during snack time and a limited free play time is provided.

Children’s Church Grades Kindergarten thru Sixth

The staff of our Children’s Church is dedicated to help your child pursue a personal relationship with Jesus and to carry their faith into all areas of their lives.  Our curriculum provides an opportunity for each grade level to study the same Bible passage each week, although presented in a variety of ways in order to be specific to each age group.   When families emerge from Church, they will have a common point of reference to spark discussion and together make application at home.

Royal Rangers:

This group is specifically for young boys, aged Kindergarten thru Grade Six.  They meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m., participating in exciting activities which allow them to develop interests, as well as mold a character of integrity in a Christ-centered atmosphere.

Girls Aged Kindergarten thru Grade Six are invited to join the club on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  The girls are trained to be all they can be in Christ today in order to become strong, committed women of God tomorrow.

Our Pledge to the Safety of Your Child

At Faith Fellowship Church, your child is precious to us.  We believe safety should always be a top priority.  Therefore, all children’s volunteers are required to pass a background check through an independent company.

The nursery, toddler and pre-school classrooms provide a three-part labeling system to make volunteers aware of allergies or other needs which may require special attention.  In addition, parents carry a cross-reference numeric label, required when they pick up their child from the classroom.

Should an infant, toddler or pre-schooler need a parent during the service, the parents will be alerted by having their child’s number flashed on the two monitors on the front wall of the Sanctuary.

If a child has specific food allergies, we kindly request parents supply their child with an appropriate snack.

Infants – 24 months:  Allow our devoted nursery staff to minister to your infant with warm smiles and loving arms.  We provide individual attention in a nurturing and secure environment.  Story time, free play time, prayer and snack time are all a part of the blessing your child will experience.
